Not only that but also the number of orders on mobile devices increased from 25% to 47% in Europe proving that those brands that start their marketing campaigns earlier and ensure they are optimised for mobile are reaping the rewards.
Some tips to plan your Valentine’s campaign:
– Look at introducing your Valentines Day themes into the marketing mix in early February to take advantage of those organised shoppers.
– Do consider running campaigns to capture those last-minute shoppers as well and try highlighting latest delivery dates options to increase urgency to purchase.
– Optimize your mobile presence, and take advantage of on-the-go purchases.
– Personalize your marketing for each shopper, combining online and offline data sources can deliver more relevant and engaging ad experiences. Push notification propositions can be a simple and effective way of connecting your online and offline worlds.
Recently, it was reported that Valentines Day overtook Mother’s Day and Easter for consumer spend in the UK. Statista conducted research that showed what people are planning to buy; cards represent 40%, followed by chocolates 17%, romantic meals 14% and finally flowers with 7%.
